Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your role at TGM?
My name is Emilia, and I joined TGM Research in February 2024 as a Panel Support Specialist in the Fieldwork department. In this role, I am responsible for providing comprehensive support to our panelists, ensuring they have a smooth and positive experience when interacting with our platform. I handle inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and assist with any challenges our panelists face, making sure their needs are met efficiently. My work is crucial in maintaining panelist satisfaction and ensuring the quality of our research data.
What does a typical day in your life look like?
My day typically starts by reviewing inquiries that came in overnight. I prioritize tasks based on urgency, ensuring that panelists' questions are addressed promptly. As the day progresses, I work closely with panelists, guiding them through challenges and helping them better understand our panel. In addition to supporting existing users, I assist new users with the registration process, ensuring their experience is smooth and welcoming from the start. Alongside my core responsibilities, I also take on additional tasks that add variety to my work and help me develop new skills, contributing to both my personal and professional growth.
What's the biggest challenge you face in your job, and how do you tackle it?
The biggest challenge I face is managing the diverse needs and expectations of our panelists, as each person has a different level of familiarity with the panel. Some issues can be more complex and take longer to resolve than anticipated, which requires a thoughtful and adaptable approach. To tackle this, I prioritize clear and transparent communication, ensuring panelists are regularly updated on the status of their issue to manage expectations and build trust. I also take a personalized approach by understanding each panelist’s unique situation, allowing me to provide tailored responses that address their concerns more effectively. This human touch is key to creating positive experiences, even in a digital environment.
