Big things happen when a community walks with purpose. Today, we are proud to share the heartwarming results of our "Step Up & Give a Hand" challenge 2025, a journey where every step taken was a step toward a brighter future for a young man in need.

Joining forces with MakeYourAsia (MYA) and Vulcan Augmetics, we set out on a heartfelt mission to support Quang: to support him a prosthetic hand and a path toward a brand-new chapter in life.

The Story of Quang: Resilience in the Face of Adversity

Our mission was dedicated to Le Minh Quang, an 18-year-old whose life was drastically altered by a workplace accident in early 2024. While operating a metal pressing machine, Quang lost his hand, leaving him unable to work and placing a heavy burden on his mother, the family’s sole breadwinner through street vending.

Driven by the spirit of "Transforming lives one step at a time," TGMers across the globe, along with our partners MakeYourAsia and Vulcan Augmetics, lace up our shoes with one goal: to give Quang back his independence.

Beyond the Numbers: A Community in Motion

The energy throughout the challenge was nothing short of inspiring. From heated friendly competitions on our WhatsApp group to the quiet dedication of daily walks, the collective effort was remarkable. We are thrilled to announce that we didn't just meet our goal—we surpassed it:

• Total Distance: 10,694,406 steps (Exceeding our 10 million goal!)
• Total Funds Raised: $1,343.30 USD
• Goal achieved on: 13th December 2025

What started as a daily walk turned into a powerful movement of heart. Our team poured so much passion into every step for Quang that we actually completed the mission an entire week ahead of schedule. It wasn't about the distance; it was about the dedication.

The Big Day: Giving Quang a New Hand

The challenge may have ended, but the real impact is about to happen. On December 30, 2025, we hosted the Hand Fitting Event for Quang at our Vietnam Office.

With the funds raised, Quang received a high-functioning prosthetic hand from Vulcan Augmetics. This event marked more than just a donation; it was a moment of empowerment, giving Quang the tools to rebuild his life, support his family, and pursue his dreams once again.

To every TGM-er, partner, and supporter who walked, cheered, and donated, you have shown that at TGM, we don’t just conduct research; we build a better world through compassion and collective action.
