TGM Research was proud to participate in the 7th Annual Meeting of PRO Vietnam, held on June 12, 2026, under the theme “Circular Economy for Packaging: Powered by Science and Technology.” The event welcomed more than 150 delegates from government agencies, universities, industry associations, sustainability organizations, and 34 member companies, creating a platform for meaningful discussions on the future of circular packaging in Vietnam.

PRO Vietnam's Annual Meeting Brings Together Sustainability Leaders

As one of Vietnam’s leading industry platforms focused on packaging sustainability and recycling, PRO Vietnam's 7th Annual Meeting serves as an opportunity for stakeholders to exchange knowledge and find solutions that support a circular economy. This year’s agenda featured four key sessions:
  • Insights from Waste Segregation at Source in Vietnam 2025 - presented by TGM Research
  • Science & Technology Driving a Sustainable Packaging Value Chain - jointly presented by The Coca-Cola Company Vietnam and Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage
  • Updates on EPR Policy Direction - presented by the National EPR Office
  • Research & Application of Science & Technology in Circular Packaging - presented by the University of Technology HCMC
Together, these discussions highlighted the growing importance of collaboration between businesses, policymakers, researchers, and consumers in achieving long-term sustainability goals.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation by Tatiana Masalska-Laska, CXO of TGM Research, who shared findings from the Waste Segregation at Source in Vietnam 2025 study, conducted in collaboration with PRO Vietnam.

The research explores Vietnamese consumers’ behaviors related to household waste segregation. According to TGM data, awareness of the 3R concept (Reduce – Reuse – Recycle) is already widespread in Vietnam, with 88% of respondents saying they have heard of the concept (N=1925).

The findings offer practical guidance for policymakers, brands, and organizations seeking to encourage greater participation in recycling and responsible waste management programs.

For local audiences interested in exploring the research in more detail, the report is also available in Vietnamese: Phân loại rác tại nguồn ở Việt Nam 2025.

Advancing Vietnam's Circular Economy Through Data and Collaboration

The event reinforced a key message: To lead on 3R by pioneering practical pathways to improve packaging collection and recycling for members while supporting broader system development.

Building a circular economy requires more than policy and technology alone. Success also depends on understanding consumer behavior and using data-driven insights to guide decision-making across the value chain.
